Together Tuesday-Tip of the Day
Engagement sessions are about love and romance and the chemistry between the engaged couple eagerly awaiting their wedding. It’s only natural that with love comes PDA. That’s right, public displays of affection are not only okay, but expected. The same is true for couples, whether you have been dating a short time or married for many years.
Don’t worry, I don’t mean I’m going to have you constantly kissing each other during your session – those aren’t pictures grandma wants to hang on her fridge. During your session, I will ask you to hold hands, hug, cuddle, look at each other, kiss on the cheek, hand, and kiss each other! This is part of my normal workflow for engagement sessions. I just wanted to give you a heads up before your session, so you know what to expect and have time to get comfortable with the idea, if you’re currently not OK with PDA.
Guess what? You don’t have to do the whole PDA thing at your photo session. But should you WANT to, we’re ready!
All that being said, I would like to point out something. If you are using your portraits for SAVE-THE-DATE and/or the INVITATION, please choose images of the two of you without major PDA. Again, your grandma, family, friends, want a photo of your faces, not your profiles. Save the intimate pictures for you. I am not saying to never show those to anyone, they are great at the wedding and in your home.
XOXO,
Amy
